As the Executive Vice President of Lanesborough REIT, Doug Wells has primary responsibility for operations, capital markets and acquisitions for Lanesborough REIT. Doug is also the Chief Investment Officer of Shelter Canadian Properties Limited and has an extensive background in real estate capital markets, operations and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Shelter Canadian, Doug was employed as a Managing Principal in the New York Office of Lazard Real Estate Partners, LLC, the real estate investment management business of Lazard Freres & Co. Doug represented the Lazard sponsored real estate funds on numerous public and private boards, including Atria Senior Living Group, LLC and CenterTRust, Inc. From 2004 to 2007, Doug also served as President and a board member of InTown Suites, Inc., an Atlanta-based extended stay hotel company.

Doug obtained his Masters of Business Administration, Finance and Real Estate from the University of Denver and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University.
