Ms. Barker was President, MTS (Manitoba) from March 2004 until her retirement from MTS in February 2006. Ms. Barker served in a variety of key positions with MTS, including President and Chief Operating Officer of MTS Communications Inc. (2002 to 2004), Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Intrigna Inc. (2001 to 2002), Executive Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of MTS (1994 to 2001).

Ms. Barker is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of National Leasing Group Inc. and is also Chair of the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Film and Sound Recording Development Corporation.

Ms. Barker is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Bachelor of Science and Certificate in Education from the University of Manitoba.
